Gerald Morrison is a Senior DevOps Architect at SAP, the world's leading enterprise resource planning (ERP) software vendor. During his career, he has worked in a wide range of roles in software development, architecture and cloud operations, especially dealing with software lifecycle management for complex cloud applications.

In recent years, he has developed a strong focus on cloud-native principles, which he actively promotes to a broad audience inside SAP. He’s currently working on positioning the open-source project "Open Component Model" as the foundation for solutions in the area of Supply Chain Security.
Even after four decades of using computers (for sometimes quite weird things), he's still passionated about everything in the area of IT. In his spare time he tries to make his home autarkic using solar energy and a reads lot about all kinds of stuff around the topic renewable energies.
